SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Wirama announced that it raised $1 million in series A financing from individual investors.

The company claims to have created a "breakthrough solution for RFID deployments" by eliminating the effects of wireless reader fading.  According to company president Ben Wild, "Wirama's products allow customers to deploy more economical and efficient use of RFID systems in warehouses, stores and loading docks."

The investing group was led by Steven McCane and Jerry Kennelly.  Mr. Kennelly will receive a seat on the Board of Directors.
